Natural Dye Workshop

June 23 and 24, 1 pm Saturday to three on Sunday

Learn to dye wool with plants and weeds including indigo, marigolds, and madder rootnatural-dye_240x240. Saturday we will mordant the fiber and prepare the dye pots, and Sunday we’ll be dyeing the yarn. Bring up to 4 oz of your own fiber if you like, or use ours. Take home samples and instructions.

At our Weekend Retreats, we welcome you to accommodations in our rustic 1850s farmhouse. You can simply kick back and relax and also connect by helping with the chores. We serve family-style, home-cooked meals using farm-raised products and local products as much as possible.

Register now by calling or emailing us – $150 includes meals and lodging – to attend during the day only, please talk to us.

Learn to Spin! June 21, 6-9 pm.  Come learn from spinners who love to spin. Sit at one of our Louet wheels and give it a go. We will help you succeed. Weaving: The loom is in the Tesseract with materials for weaving a sampler.  You are invited to come see our progress and try your hand at weaving a bit.  We’re meeting twice a month, 2nd and 4th Thursdays. Talk to us about a time to help you dress your loom.  Next gathering will be June 28, 10am – 2pm, Pot Luck.   If you have a portable loom bring it along.  If not, try one of ours.

 

Bethel Farmers’ Market: Find us at Bethel Farmers’ Market on Saturdays from 9am-1pm, behind Norway Savings Bank.  We’ll have links and bulk maple sausage, maple syrup, and wool products.  We’re featuring our new Thyme Tile Combo Kit, which includes everything you need in one package!
